Terms of use
Terms of use
Last updated: 14 September 2026
Intricate Events is operated by Intricate Group Inc. ("Intricate", "we", "us"). By creating an account or watching a session you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
The important one, first
Nothing on this platform is legal, regulatory or engineering advice.
Our sessions discuss Canadian and Albertan regulatory requirements, including measurement, emissions and reporting obligations. We work hard to be accurate, and we are telling you anyway: regulations change, they are applied differently to different facilities, and the version we describe may not be the version that applies to you on the day you watch.
Before you act on anything you hear here, verify it against the current published regulation and, where it matters, against your regulator and your own qualified advisors. You remain responsible for your own compliance. Intricate accepts no responsibility for a decision you make based on a session.
If a session and the regulation disagree, the regulation is right.
Accounts
- An account is for one named person. Do not share it, and do not let someone else sign in as you. If you need a colleague to attend, they create their own account.
- Access is at our discretion. We review every new account by hand and we may decline one without giving a reason.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we have reason to believe it is being shared or used to gather competitive information.
- You are responsible for your sign-in link. It works once and expires in twenty minutes. Treat it like a password. If you receive one you did not request, tell us.
- Keep your details current. We use your email address to give you access, so a stale one locks you out.
Registering for a session is free. There is no charge for anything on this platform.
What you may do
You may watch sessions and recordings, yourself, for your own professional purposes and those of your employer. You may take notes, use what you learn in your work, and tell your colleagues about it.
What you may not do
- Record, capture, download or re-transmit a session or a recording. We know this is technically possible. It is not permitted.
- Share a recording, or your access to one, with anyone outside your organisation.
- Attempt to defeat, bypass or test the access controls, including the sign-in process and the video tokens.
- Scrape, crawl or bulk-extract anything from the platform.
- Use the platform to gather competitive information about Intricate, our approach or our clients.
- Submit anything unlawful, abusive or deliberately disruptive through the question box, feedback or the contact form.
- Impersonate anyone, including an Intricate employee.
While you are watching, your name and email appear faintly over the video. It is there so that any copy that leaves this platform can be traced back to the account it came from.
Who owns what
Ours. The sessions, the recordings, the slides, the written material, the platform itself and everything in it are owned by Intricate Group Inc. or licensed to us. Watching a session gives you a limited, personal, non-transferable permission to view it. It gives you no other right, and it transfers no ownership.
Yours. Questions and feedback you submit remain yours. By submitting them you give us permission to read them, answer them, and use them to improve what we present, including in anonymised or aggregate form. We will not attribute a question to you publicly, or name you or your employer in any material, without asking you first.
Availability
We will make reasonable efforts to run sessions as scheduled and to keep recordings available. We do not guarantee either.
- A session may be cancelled, rescheduled or cut short. We will tell registrants when that happens.
- A live stream may fail. If it does, we will normally publish a recording instead.
- A recording may be removed, updated or replaced at any time, for example when the underlying regulation changes and the recording becomes misleading. A recording being available today is not a commitment that it will be available tomorrow.
- The platform may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
Nothing here is a service level commitment.
Third party services
The platform relies on services we do not operate, including our hosting, video and email providers. Their availability is not within our control, and their handling of your information is described in our privacy policy.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The platform and everything on it is provided as is. We make no warranty that it is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted or fit for any particular purpose.
- Intricate is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost opportunity, lost data, business interruption, or any regulatory penalty, fine or enforcement action.
- Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim connected with this platform is limited to one hundred Canadian dollars, reflecting that we provide it free of charge.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Your responsibility to us
If you breach these terms and that causes a third party claim against Intricate, you will cover our reasonable costs in dealing with it.
Ending your access
You can delete your account at any time, from your account settings. It takes effect immediately.
We can suspend or close your account, with or without notice, if you breach these terms or if we decide to stop operating the platform. If we close the platform we will give registrants reasonable notice.
Clauses that by their nature should survive, including ownership, liability and governing law, continue to apply after your access ends.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada that apply in it. The courts of Alberta have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you agree to that.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when they last changed. If a change is material we will tell registered users before it takes effect. Continuing to use the platform after that means you accept the revised terms.
